Pilot Hole Guide Printable Templates

Drilling a pilot hole first is usually the best way to make sure a woodscrew or nail goes where we want it to go. But where to locate the pilot hole can be just as important as the pilot hole itself. If drilled in the wrong place, a pilot hole can allow fasteners to split and break the fragile edges of a board.

EZ Pilot Hole Guides
The solution I came up with was to create a simple set of PDF templates that show me exactly where to position pilot holes along the edge of a board. No more dragging out my rulers and squares, no more pencil marks on my workpieces (that would never erase completely) and no more measuring goof-ups. Best part is that I can print as many copies as I need from my office computer and take them down to the shop whenever I start a project.
